Mobile and Modular Homes on Freehold Land / West Kelowna

In the District of West Kelowna there are quite a number of parks for mobile and modular homes. The vast majority of these, almost all in fact, are on Westbank First Nation land. What this means to the homeowner is that they buy the home but lease the land upon which the home sits, and will be required to pay a monthly pad rent, usually in the range of $350 or more. There is one privately owned park where the land is still leased. You own the home, but not the land and a monthly pad rent is still payable.
Fortunately there is one park where the homes are on Freehold Land. You own the home and the land, and there is a small strata fee of just $35 a month. This park is attractive with lovely landscaping and well taken care of homes. Amazingly you can buy a home here for just $217,000 and up, and yes, this is for the home and the land. Many think this park is one of West Kelowna's best kept 'secrets'!
